Yobe to build 3 FM stations
Yobe State Government will establish three new FM stations in the state, aimed at enlightening the people on the policies and programmes of the government.
The State Commissioner of Information, Home Affairs and Culture, Alhaji Abdullahi Bego disclosed this when the National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Mr. Chris Isiguzo called on him in his office.
He said there is a good relationship between the state government and the working journalists. Bego assured the president that the state government would continue to provide technical support to all journalists in the state.
The commissioner further said, government had embarked on construction of airport, “because we are only the state that don’t have airport and also government is to construct ultra modern market in Damaturu, the state capital.
” Earlier speaking, the president of the union, Mr. Isiguzo said, they were in the state for continuation of his nationwide tour.
He said the state is the first he visited in the Northeast and it was three times that he was in the state.
He commended the state government for providing dividends of democracy to its people, commending the governor for assisting journalists in the state.
