Some of the unions who benefited from the palliatives include National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) and Petroleum Tanker Drivers (PTD) among others.
Each union received gallons of vegetable cooking oil, bags of rice, bags of beans, cartons of macaroni, cartons of spaghetti, cartons of seasoning cubes, bags of maize flour and bags of salt.
Usman Kukuwa, the state Commissioner of Transport and Energy, Dr. Ali Ibrahim Abbas, the NEDC SFP/Coordinator presented the items to the beneficiaries on behalf of the state government and COVID-19 prevention committee.
