From Umar Danladi Ado, Sokoto
Governor Aminu Waziti Tambuwal of Sokoto State has urged other political party oppositions to join hands with his administration to work for the development of the state and the country as a whole.
Governor Tambuwal also dedicated his victory at the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal to God and the entire people of the state.
Tambuwal stated this while addressing PDP supporters that converged at Sokoto Government House shortly after the election petitions tribunal upheld his election as the governor of the state.
“There is no doubt that power belongs to God and it was His wills that I emerged victorious at general elections, inconclusive election and now at the tribunal,” he stated.
He therefore expressed appreciation to the people of the state for their persistent support and prayers since the commencement of the struggle.
Governor Tambuwal also thanked the election tribunal for its fairness in handling the election petitions nationwide.
While acknowledging the dedication and cooperation of the party supporters in the state, he also urged other oppositions to join hands with his administration to work for the development of the state and the country as a whole.
He reiterated the commitment of his administration towards executing laudable projects in all parts of the state.
In his remarks, the former governor of the state, Alhaji Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa appealed to supporters of all political parties in the state to support Govermor Tambuwal’s administration in its efforts to develop the state.
