Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has warmly received Comrade Nura Ali Batsari who trekked for 176 km from his hometown Batsari in Katsina State to congratulate him over his victory at the supreme court that upholds his Gubernatorial election.
Receiving him on Monday at the Government House, Governor Ganduje represented by his Deputy, Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna explained that… “Comrade Nura’s visit is a clear testimony of his love and affection to our administration and by extension his admiration to the numerous achievements recorded in the State.
“Whoever comes to congratulate our Government over this victory, is definitely congratulating the people of the State because it was their prayer that has been answered by Almighty God which takes us to this level,” he added. Ganduje noted.
He expressed his sincere gratitude to Allah (SWT) for his mercy in making the truth to prevail and appreciated the continued prayers and support from people like Comrade Batsari who he said had sacrificed his life to come to Kano by trekking from Katsina to congratulate him on the victory.
“I must warmly welcome my guest, Comrade Nura Ali Batsari who really sacrificed his energy and time to come to Kano and rejoice with us over our victory at the Supreme Court. His coming by trekking indicates his satisfaction on this administration’s commitment to doing the needful in actualising its mandate for the good people of Kano,” he disclosed.
Ganduje commended some of the members of the Katsina State House of Assembly who, on Batsari’s arrival, trooped to Kano Government House to also testify the kind of love he has on their great party, the APC and Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in particular.
Ganduje said: “As we have been told by the Hon. Members that Nura is a disciplined, patriotic and young politician with self-reliant background and currently pursuing his Masters Degree at Umar Musa ‘Yar Aduwa University is very appreciable and encouraging.”
Earlier, Comrade Nura Ali Batsari had said he decided to embark on his trekking journey to Kano to congratulate Governor Ganduje for his victory at the Supreme Court as well as to congratulate the people of Kano for having one of the most dedicated Governors in Nigeria.
“What drew my attention about Governor Ganduje is his commitment to changing Kano into a Mega City through the execution of many developmental projects as you can see any where you go in the State which is worthy of emulation by other Governors in Nigeria,” Comrade Nura revealed.
According to him, Governor Ganduje had succeeded in empowering the lives of youths; women and orphans in the State to become self-reliant, a position which he said made the Governor to be a source of pride to his people.
“Many youths have been appointed in this administration as Commissioners, Advisers and SSAs; this made me feel honoured for that. Ganduje is a man who carries youths along to ensure good governance and successes,” he appreciated.
Other areas mentioned by Batsari which attracted his attention on Ganduje leadership style is the introduction of the popular programme Karkara Salamu Alaikum through which grassroots projects are carried out across the 44 Local Government Areas of the State.
