Sule boasts 177 Battalion with facilities worth N125m

As a result of persistent crime and criminal activities in some parts of Nasarawa State, Governor Abdullahi Sule has donated Hilux Van, motorcycles and generator sets to 177 Battalion to in testify efforts to ensure crime-free-society.
“It is our collective resolve to achieve this goal of safe guiding the lives and properties of our citizens no matter how costly it is.
“As government, we are confidently that by providing this gesture extended to Nigeria Army, the society will be free from any form of criminal business in some of our border towns of Toto, Nasarawa, Keana and Doma,” he said.
Sule, who showered encomium on the council chairmen of Toto and Nasarawa Local Government Areas for their quick response to any unwanted criminal activities as well as designed road maps to arrest any situation by kidnappers, promised to support the army at all times in the discharge of their duty.
Earlier, Secretary to the State Government, Tijjani Aliyu, stated that the state government has expended N125, 275,200 for the procurement of three Hilux vans, 100 mattresses and 10 cell phones.
The Officer Commanding 177 Barracks, Lt. Col. Aliyu, thanked the state government for assisting them in the discharge of their duty.
“Though we lost our men in the fight but this will not deter us from discharging our duty effectively,” said he.
