As part of its commitment towards the provision of qualitative education , Jigawa State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has organised a two-day induction training on school administration and management for the principals and vice principals of the newly established senior secondary schools in the state.
The training exercise took place at the three Senatorial Districts in the state.
Contained in a statement from the Public Relations Officer of the ministry, Malam Wasilu Umar Ringim, the commissioner in the ministry, Dr. Lawan Yunusa Dan Zomo dropped the hint while addressing participants at Babura Girls Arabic Secondary School recently.
Represented by the Director Schools of the ministry, Hajiya Talatu Yahaya, Dr. Dan Zomo said the training was intended to acquaint the new principals with technical knowledge on how to administer and lead their schools academically for the betterment of younger generations in the state.
He urged the participants to pay more attention on the training in order to have a desired outcome.
In his welcome address, the chairman of School Mentors and one of the resource persons, Alhaji Rabiu Nasur Jarman Gumel, thanked the ministry for organising the training which he described as timely.
Similar induction courses were conducted at Hadejia and Birnin Kudu Northeast and North central Senatorial Districts.
Also papers were presented by some scholars at the three training centers
