Pillars supporters attack Janbul, boo Jugnu –

Following the defeat of the state darling team, Kano Pillars Football Club by a lone goal against the newly promoted Jigawa Golden Stars Football Club into the National Premier League competition at the week four tournament at Sani Abacha Stadium, the supporters of the club have attacked the Chairman of the club, Hon. Surajo Janbul after continuing suffering defeats at home and away matches.
A number of supporters, who surrounded Janbul shouting on him, blamed the club’s Chief Coach of not properly handling the team to success this season.
The supporters demanded replacement of the Chairman, even as he (Janbul) was trying to explain to his reasons which they refused to listen to.
It could be recalled that Kano Pillars Football Club has lost to Rivers United at PortHarcourt in its opening match by 1- 0 and suffered against Lobi Stars of Makurdi at Sani Abacha by lone goal, and now suffered the second defeat in front of its thousands of supporters by lone goal which made most of the supporters to lose confidence in the team management.
The Triumph Sport reporter observed that shortly after the match which ended with a lone goal in favour of Jigawa team, Kano Pillars supporters start booing the coach as security personnel took him to the dressing room for safety.
Speaking to sports journalists shortly after the match, the Chief Coach Jigawa Golden Stars, Rabi’u Tata thanked the players for their wonderful performance and commended the supporters of his club and that of Kano Pillars supporters for the motivation to the team.
Speaking, the Chief Coach of Kano Pillars FC, Ibrahim Jugnu described their defeat as a disaster that befalls to any club.
