NUJ, Lalong mourn death of Daily Trust reporter

The Plateau State branch of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has mourned one of its members who died following a motor accident along Bingo Road while traveling to Jama’are in Bauchi State.

“Late Bashir was good, humble and gentle man, very jovial, always smiling and always wanted everything to be done the right way, and you will never know when he was angry,” the union said.

The state governor, Barrister Simon Bako Lalong has condoled with the management and staff of Daily Trust Newspapers over the death of its reporter in the state, Bashir Musa Liman.

Late Liman was reported to have died on Saturday, August 10, 2019 in a ghastly motor accident along Ningi Road while traveling to Jama’are in Bauchi State.

In a statement by the Director of Press and Public Affairs to Governor Lalong, Dr. Makut Simon Macham, said the governor  expressed deep sympathy to the family of the late reporter whom he said  was a committed, diligent and professional journalist who put in a lot for the development of the state and the nation as a whole.

While praying God to give his soul eternal rest and forgive his sins, he prayed for the family and the Daily Trust Group to be comforted by the fact that late Liman gave his best at all times and impacted on the profession and people around him.

Until his death, the deceased contributed to all Trust titles including the Hausa publication, Aminiya.
