From Bala Abubakar, Gusau
“There will be no more attacks in Zamfara State, banditry has come to an end in the state,” leader of the State Bandits, Muhammad Bello made the assurance to the Committee on Peace Reconciliation Initiatives.
The leader stated this during a meeting organised by the committee headed by the Commissioner of Police, Usman Nagoggo and held in the Command’s Headquarters in the presence of all security agents.
“I, Muhammad Bello assure you that peace must reign now; people should exercise more patience and continue praying with forgiveness to each other over what happened for years in the state,” he restated.
He warned various gangs of armed banditry to stay away from further nefarious activities and embrace peace in the State.
“I apologise for what happened recently where a clash between farmers and Fulani herdsmen led to the death of people and that I assure peace in the state is coming to stay,” Bello said.
He thanked the Governor, Emirs and security agents for initiating peace reconciliation committee to end criminal activities in the state.
