Nasiru Ado Bayero emerges new emir of Bichi

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State has approved the appointment of the former Chiroman Kano, Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero, as the new emir of Bichi Emirate Council.
The announcement was made by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji, on Monday Evening.
This is following a resolution by the Kano State Executive Council, on Monday, with regards to the deposition of the former Emir, Muhammadu Sanusi ll and the appointment of the former emir of Bichi as the new emir of Kano Emirate council.
The decision was based on the power confered on the govenor by the provision of Section 11 Sub-section 1 of the Kano Emirates Law 2019, Alhaji Usman Alhaji said.
The secretary to the state government added that the state government was acting based on the recommendation of the kingmakers of the Bichi Emirate Council.
With his appointment as the new emir, Nasiru Ado Bayero is the 2nd emir of Bichi Emirate.
Until his appointment as the new emir of Bichi Emirate, Nasiru Ado Bayero held the title of Ciroman Kano and was the district head of Nassarawa Local Government Area.
A successful businessman with experience spanning over 20 years having served at the helms of affairs in various cadres of the Public and Private Sectors, Nasiru Ado Bayero is the third son of Ado Bayero, the Late Emir of Kano.
Earlier Monday morning, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State had approved the immediate removal of the Emir of Kano Emirate, Muhammadu Sanusi ll.
The state government said the former emir was in total disrespect to lawful instructions from the office of the state governor and other lawful authorities, the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji said.
Alhaji Usman Alhaji futher disclosed that the emir had persistently refused to attend official meetings and programmes organized by the state government.
