My constituency office now ‘Peoples Parliament’– Sen. Gyang

The Deputy Chairman Senate Committee on Defence and Senator Representing Plateau Northern Senatorial District, Barrister (Dr) I.D. Gyang has disclosed that his constituency office is now named the “Peoples Parliament” where he will attend to all citizens from the grassroots across the six local governments of the Plateau North Senatorial District.
Senator Gyang said God has given him the mandate of the people of Plateau North, pledging to diligently serve all the people across ethnic and religious diversities in the Senatorial District.
He particularly emphasized the focus and agenda of the mandate which succinctly put is, ‘Secure the People, Reconcile the People and Empower the People.’
According to him, security and safety of the people
through peace and harmonious coexistence and not through armaments and violence are key to ideal life.
Also reconciling the people through forgiveness and restitution to restore trust and confidence and empower the people through education, skills acquisition, trade and commerce are what the people need to progress.
The Senator stated this while addressing his aides at the Peoples Parliament Office on No. 1 Ibrahim Alfa Road Giring Abattoir (Fototek Building), Jos.
According to him, “God has given me the mandate to embrace and serve the people. The mandate is all inclusive and all encompassing. Those who will work with me must ensure they serve the people.”
