The Plateau State Police Command has marshaled out a total of 2,100 personnel to carry out a hitch-free Eid-Maulud celebration in the state.
The Command gave the breakdown of the personnel as follows, 121 SPOs, 387 Inspectors, 1520 Rank and File and 72 Traffic Wardens.
A statement in Jos from the Command’s PPRO, DSP Matthias Terna, said protection of lives and property through effective vehicular and foot patrols during the period was their utmost concern.
It advised members of the public to be security conscious and report suspicious movement around them to the police.
The statement further urged vehicle owners to apply minimum security by fixing pedal and, or steering locks in addition to the tracking devices on their vehicles.
The Command wished all Muslim faithful a happy Eid-Maulud celebration.
