Masari swears-in 14 SAs

Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has sworn in 14 new Special Advisers with a call on them to fear Allah in the discharge of their duties.
Masari told them that government will closely monitor their performance, adding that anyone who failed would be shown the way out.
He said the administration was committed to serve the people diligently, advising the new appointees to come up with various programmes with a view to achieving the desired objective.
He said the advisers should open their doors to the people and work with their staff for smooth implementation of government policies and programmes.
Masari further advised them to be prudent in spending public funds, urging them also to monitor spending activities of each department.
According to him, their selection was based on merit and they were posted to relevant departments based on their academic qualification.
The governor used the opportunity to call on civil servants in the state to cooperate and assist the new appointees in the discharge of their duties.
Responding, the Special Adviser on Labour Matters, Comrade Lawal Tanimu Saulawa pledged to work and ensure good relationship between government and workers.
Saulawa, who is the immediate past chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in the state, said workers’ welfare would be his top priority, appealing to them to rededicate themselves to duty.
Also speaking at the occasion, the state chairman of the NLC, Comrade Yanduna thanked Governor Masari for appointing a labour leader as Special Adviser.
Yanduna said the appointment of Comrade Saulawa was an indication that Masari’s administration was labour-friendly.
