Lingering Assembly crisis in Bauchi over – Gbajabiamila

Bauchi State Governor Bala Muhammad Abdulakadir Kauran Bauchi has commended the leadership of the National Assembly for making Bauchi a peaceful place following the crises that bedevilled the State House of Assembly shortly after its inauguration.
He said:“We have had some problems with the Assembly and your prompt action shows your pro-activeness, the kind of new face of leadership in Nigeria. You do not only persecute or sitdown because of partisan reasons but you were able to do it with so much facts and capacity in time of making sure that both parties came to the round table and we agreed and resolved the issue through your incline and good intervention.
The Governor was receiving condolence from the Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila over the demise of a prominent Bauchi business man and father to Mansur Manu Soro, member representing GanjuwaEast Federal Constituency.
Abdulkadir explained that Bauchi State would never forget the prompt intervention of the National Assembly into the Bauchi Assembly crisis.
He said, “we were ashamed, myself, my deputy were all members of the National Assembly; we should have had this kind of problem but sometimes such a problem itself is a manifestation of democracy and challenges but sometimes not insurmountable and they proved to be surmountable.”
The Governor described his newly-formed cabinet as a resources-based institution with four former members of the NASS, saying he will measure to establish a by-partisan government in Bauchi State where all parties would have a sense of belonging.
He also commended the Speaker for his intervention in Zamfara insecurity impasse which he did same to Bauchi.
Earlier in his remark, Femi Gbajabiamila had said they were in the state to pay a condolence visit to the family of late Alhaji Manu SoroSarkin Fulani of Bauchi.
He said, his son Mansur Soro is an integral part of the 9th Assembly.
Gbajabiamila said, “the seeming crisis that almost enveloped the state some months ago has now been resolved. I am happy that it was done with the input and intervention of the House.”
