Kwari Market boss happy with plaza opening

The Managing Director of Kantin Kwari Market, in Kano State, Alhaji Abba Bello has commended Alhaji Lawali Ibrahim for the commissioning of Dan Aggo Plaza in the market.
He said no amount of government effort in the pursuit of economic development would yield fruit, if stakeholders remain on the sideline without active participation and recognition.
Bello, who revealed this during the commissioning of Dan Aggo Plaza held at the market recently, pointed out that markets are important building blocks of any prosperous economy.
He added that they are also among the most effective avenues for poverty alleviation, job creation and economic stability.
He explained that buying and selling as well as exchange of goods and services always generate the momentum results for more economic growth.
“With this new development, we hope that the plaza will accelerate economic growth and provide jobs for the peoples,” the Managing Director stated.
He explained that the present administration, under the able leadership of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has placed high premium on the economic development of the state.
In his remark, the proprietor of the plaza, Alhaji Lawali Ibrahim said it took him eight months before completing the edifice, revealing that about 1,000 people are expected to benefit from the gigantic project.
Ibrahim, who is a Kebbi State indigene residing in Kano, commended Governor Ganduje for his effort to restore the state of its economic prosperity.
He said he was in the state for three decades, but he has never seen a leader who invested so much on its economic development like Ganduje.
