KSCPC ready for consumer promotion, protection

Kano State Consumer Protection Council has reiterated its readiness to continue promoting the rights of consumers and protecting them against hazardous sub-standard and expired products.
This statement was made by the Managing Director of the Council, Dr. Yusuf Muhammad Sabo in a press release made available to The Triumph recently. He said this at this year’s World Consumer Day celebration in Kano.
Dr. Muhammad said the day is set aside for the need of sustainable consumption globally as well as highlighting the important role consumer rights and protection can play, adding that this would go long way in increasing resource efficiency as well as helping to alleviate poverty.
The Managing Director further explained that promotion and protection are part of the Council’s mandate given by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje who is the Chief Protector in the State
He called on people to support the move by joining the rest of the world to commemorate with this day as the Centre of Commerce in the country.
