KNSG to work with associations for speedy development -Commissioner Kwankwaso
Kano State Government has restated determination to work with associations for the overall development of the state.
The state Commissioner for Rural and Community Development, Alhaji Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso stated this at an interactive meeting with the Central Working Committee on development association in the state capital.
Kwankwaso noted that their relevance to the development of the state through their activities could not be overemphasized, adding that the state government would do everything possible to resuscitate the activities of self help associations to forge ahead.
He then called on development associations in the state to ensure they register with relevant agency so as to know their statistical number in the state to enable government to assist them appropriately.
The commissioner also thanked them for their support and cooperation, urging poeple to clear their drainages as raining seassion approaches.
Earlier, the state chairman of the committee, Alhaji Ibrahim Garba Kofar Na’isa listed some of the achievements recorded by the committee to include visits to the 44 local government areas in the state to assess their progress.
Alhaji Kofar Na’isa further solicited the state government to support them with working materials, vehicles and allowances to enable them perform better, according to the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry in a press release made available to The Triumph in Kano recently.
