KNSG pledges judicious utilization of resources for robust health
Kano State Government says it would continue to utilizes its resources for robust and strengthened health system in the state.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Alhaji Usman Bala Muhammad, mni, made this known while receiving donations of hospital equipment worth millions of Naira by Rotary International in an effort to complement government effort towards providing essential tools and equipment especially for secondary health facilities where vast majority of people visit.
He pointed out that the present administration is committed to renovating health facilities across the 44 Local Government Areas in the state and purchase of state-of-the art equipment for the best practices, says Chief Public Relations Officer, IsmailaGarbaGwammaja.
The Permanent Secretary further explained that government is consistently providing drugs, cleansers and other consumables free for pregnant women from conception to delivery; other interventions provided by the government are the routine immunization of children under five and emergency services among other interventions.
He enjoined people in the state especially mothers to take this advantage for the healthy growth of their children.
He also urged women to come out en-masse to collect their nets free at the designated places between the 5th and 9th of this month in order to take cover from the mosquito that spreads malaria.
The Permanent Secretary also received Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) and Consultants on measles from WHO, UNICEF, CDC and Rotary under the leadership of Dr. BoubacarDieng.
Earlier in his remark, the representative of Rotary International, Prof. Lufadejo had said the donation of hospital equipment followed the consideration of this government towards providing effective and efficient health care service delivery.
