KNSG partners organisations to protect citizens
Kano State Government has stated its readiness to support human right organisations that aim to protect the rights of citizens to ensure a better society.
This assertion was made by the State Commissioner, Ministry for Special Duties, Alhaji Mukhtar Ishaq Yakasai while receiving an award of Human Service Excellence International presented by Human Rights International in his office.
Yakasai acknowledged the role of the organisation’s members in maintaining peace and stability in the society as well as encouraging youths to become self-reliant and promoting educational development which he said is in line with the policy and programmes of the present administration.
He said the State Government will not relent in its effort to partner with any organisation aimed at improving the well-being of the citizens through the provision of social infrastructure across the State.
Speaking earlier, the Coordinator of the Youths for Human Rights International, Comrade Aminu Maitama Bello had said the organisation was an international one that paid attention in protecting the rights of youths as well as encouraging them to acquire education apart from promoting peace and stability in the society.
In another development, the State Commissioner for Special Duties has received the executive members of APC Media Forum who paid him a courtesy visit in his office
Commissioner Yakasai said government, under the leadership of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has budgeted over N3billion for the execution of various people-oriented projects in all the wards of the 44 Local Government Areas of the State as part of its commitment to making the State a mega city in the world.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner has also received members of the Buhari/Ganduje Public Awareness Forum who visited him in his office, a press release signed by Auwal Ado Sheshe, the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry has said.
