Keffi to witness more developmental projects- Sule

To ensure that developmental infrastructure reach the door-steps of the common man in Nasarawa State, Keffi Local Government Area will be provided with new developmental projects, says Governor Abdullahi Sule of the state.
He made this known while receiving a delegation from Keffi Emirate Council led by the Emir, Alhaji Shehu Chindo Yamusa alongside prominent sons and daughters of the area on a visit to him.
“Our decision to shift attention to develop Keffi is not far from over the growing population of the cosmopolitan town,” he explained.
He stated now that Karu is filled up with people from other parts of the country who are not indigenes of Nasarawa State, Keffi is seen to be the next gateway to the state from the FCT hence, the need to give it a facelift that depicts the state.
“For a historical place like Keffi that plays role not only on democracy and traditions, so when the emir mentioned about museum I noted that Keffi possesses all what it takes to have a museum as a place that depicts the culture of the state and Northern Nigeria,” Sule noted.
“We will convert old Keffi market to a neighborhood market, but the rest of the area will be converted to the Keffi Circle and by the grace of God the contract will be awarded in March,” he assured them.
He pledged to construct more township roads within Keffi town, calling for understanding from the people as more projects are on the way.
Speaking separately, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and the Emir of Keffi, Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa expressed worries over persistent water shortage in Keffi town and its environ as one of the major challenges the people have been grappling with for decades but now the state government has restored water supply for the people.
