Kebbi incident: DSS to punish own operatives in Buhari entourage

The Department of the State Security Services said it had initiated measures against its personnel for negligence of duty during President Buhari’s visit to Kebbi State, last week, Leadership reports.
According to the service, lapses by the officials gave an overzealous supporter of the president, one Mohammed Jammil Guddare, an access to seek for unauthorized handshake with the president.
The Service had reviewed the video of the incident and is taking measures against its personnel found to have been negligent in their duties, the spokesperson of the DSS, Dr Peter Afunanya said.
The DSS further dismissed the reports making the rounds that presidential details killed the intruder that tried to break the security cordon to attack the President at Argungu, Kebbi state on 12th March 2020.
