Katsina pays N14m road compensation

Katsina State Government has paid N14million compensation to four communities in Sandamu area for the take-off of Gurjiya – Karkarku – Dagam – Kwasarawa road.
Speaking at the occasion, Permanent Secretary, Political and Common Service, Kasimu Ibrahim said the payment is for the people whose farmlands will be used for the project.
Ibrahim explained that about 195 people are to benefit from the disbursement.
He said government resolved to construct the road to boost economic activities for the people of the area.
Ibrahim called on the people of the area to cooperate with the contractor for smooth execution of the project.
He also appealed to people of the state to continue to offer prayers for the lasting solution to arm bandits’ activities.
In his speech, Director Finance and Administration of Sandamu Local Government, Usman Darda’u Kuraye commended the state government to commence construction of the road.
Kuraye explained that the road currently on dilapidated condition if construct will ease transportation problem.
He said the local government will monitor the execution of the project for quality execution.
