KASROMA begins township roads in 6 LGAs

Katsina State Government has commenced construction of township roads in five local government areas of the state.
The Managing Director of the state Rural and Road Maintenance Agency (KASROMA), Engr. Surajo Abubakar revealed this to newsmen.
Abubakar said six local government areas were selected to benefit from the township roads this year.
He said the township road project is to beautify local government councils and ease movement of goods.
He said already fund was appropriated in 2020 budget to ensure completion of the project.
Abubakar, who highlighted function of the agency, said work has commenced for repair of all damaged street lights.
He said government has opted for the use of generators instead of solar for maintenance of the street light in the state.
Engr. Abubakar expressed concern on rampart vandalisation of the street light, especially within the metropolitan area of the state.
He said the agency was working with security agency to overcome the problem.
