Karaye Emir welcomes more Islamic banks
Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar has welcomed the establishment of more Islamic banks in Nigeria.
The Emir made the remark while receiving the management of the state branch, Manager, Trust and Justice Bank (TAJ Bank) Plc, Ghali Sadauki in his palace.
Alhaji Abubakar II emphasised that introducing Islamic banking system would no doubt create pure banking services which are free of fraud and money laundry in the financial institutions.
The Emir appealed to the management of TAJ Bank to ensure establishment of branches at the local government headquarters in order to support the economy of the people at the grassroots, when the bank becomes fully operational.
He then thanked the bank’s management for the visit and assured them of the royal support from the emirate at all times.
Earlier, the Manager, Alhaji Sadauki had said the visit was aimed at registering their support to the creation of new emirates in the state and solicited the emir’s blessing to introduce the bank to him.
He explained that the visit was preparatory to the visit of the National Chairman of the bank to the emirate, as revealed by Haruna Gunduwawa, Information Officer of the Emirate.
