…As Ganduje hails Dangote for entrepreneurship growth

A brand new car was won by a customer of Dangote Cement in Kano, in a promo, more cus­tomers have promised to continue to re­main loyal to the company.

The customers, who stormed the Kano office of the company on Monday, August 5, 2019 to witness the promo, also appreciated the good gesture from the company as one of them stood the chance of winning the prize.

The event, which was also witnessed by even the state government officials who represented the state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, appeared to be very colourful as it put smiles on the faces of both officials of the company and others in attendance.

The representative of the state gov­ernor, who doubles as the Permanent Secretary of the state Ministry of Com­merce, Industry, Cooperatives and Tourism, Hajiya Binta Lawal Umar told the gathering that the governor wanted to be at the event personally, but was unable because of some tight schedule, hence the representation.

She said the state government as well the governor have recognised the immense contributions of Dangote Group in helping the nation to grow from strength to strength, adding that they were very happy and proud with what Dangote is doing in the state.

According to her, the state is ready to partner with the Group towards the development of entrepreneurship in the state and the nation at large.

On her part, the Marketing Director of the company, Mrs. Funmi Sanni said they were extremely happy to give out such brand new cars to the winners of the promo which was tagged: ‘Dangote Bag of Goodies Consumer Promo.’

Mrs. Sanni disclosed that so many items could be won in the promo pro­vided that the customers remain loyal to the company by continuing to patronise its products.

She said the national consumer promo started on July 1, this year and will end next month, adding that so many things could be won, stating that a would-be winner can just buy Dan­gote Bag of Goodies where in every bag there is a scratch card and upon opening it carefully, a lucky customer could win the various items rolled out by the com­pany for the promo.

She said the company rolled out 43 cars, 24 tricycles, 24 motorcycles, 400 televisions and 550 refrigerators, adding that a lucky person could also win cash and recharge cards running into millions of Naira for millions of Nigerians.

She described the promo as real, urg­ing customers to continue to buy the Dangote cement to win next time.

Earlier in his welcome address, the company’s Sales Director in the North­ern part of the country, Mr. Chucks, ex­pressed gratitude to those in attendance of the event, especially customers and government officials.

“It is the only company that can roll out such gifts to customers. More cars can be won in Kano, but the only chance is by using the Dangote cement.

“You should press the message to bricklayers and others to know that the more they cut Dangote cement, the more they will win,” the Northern Sales Direc­tor told the gathering.

Mr. Chucks noted that the Dangote cement enjoyed about 95 per cent of patronage by the block industry in the state, noting further the role of the state in commerce, which always serves as the hub of commercial activities in the na­tion, he added.

He thanked Governor Ganduje for bringing peace and stability in the state, reiterating that the governor was making the state beautiful for commerce and all other sectors.

“Kano is home to late big-wig mer­chant, Alhaji Sunusi Dantata; Alhaji Aliko Dangote; late Malam Aminu Kano; late Alhaji Muhammadu Abubakar Rimi and other famous people,” he noted.

He also noted that the state, due to its strategic position, has produced two heads of state in the persons of late Gen­erals Murtala Muhammad and Sani Aba­cha of blessed memories.

On his part, the winner of the brand new car, Alhaji Sunusi Sa’idu Sheka, owner of Rafin Kashim Block industry popularly called RKB along Western Bye Pass in Kano metropolis, said he was highly elated and gingered by the donation, promising to continue to patro­nise the Dangote cement.

He said he has been in the business for over 22 years, stating that for quite some years back, he has made Dagote cement his consistent friend in his busi­nesses because of its quality.

“I was using different cement before, but later, I switched to Dangote cement because of its outstanding quality. I am very happy with the gift and I promise to mobilise my colleagues and others to continue to patronise the Dangote prod­ucts,” the prize winner, explained to The Triumph.

Alhaji Sheka is one of the 11 zonal chairmen of the block makers and allied products association in the state.

Also, the chairman of the state chap­ter of Concrete Block Makers and Al­lied Products Association, Alhaji Umar Faruk, said they were at the event to show solidarity to their member as well as appreciation to Dangote Ce­ment for the donation of the car to the winner as he is one of their own.

“This shows that they, in Dangote Group, are appreciative to the Kano pa­tronage of the product. I am optimistic that the company will continue to stay and we will continue to partonise its product as it (the company) responded positively to our earlier demand on im­proving quality of the product, which it did,” the chairman hinted our corre­spondent.

Speaking at the occasion, Alhaji Bala Giwa Getso of Giwa Dynamic, who attested to the good quality of the Dangote cement, said there is no fami­ly in the nation which does not use one or two products, either foods or other manufactured items by the Group.

He prayed for abundant health to the chairman of the group, Alhaji Dan­gote and Governor Ganduje for grac­ing the occasion through the Perma­nent Secretary.

In a chat with journalists shortly af­ter the occasion, the company’s Media Relation Manager, Hajiya Maijidda Modibbo, urged for more patronage of the product from all and sundry.

She hinted that such promos were held in Lagos, Benin, Osoghbo, Abuja and now in Kano to last till next month ending.
