Kano Assembly endorses road construction in Takai

Hon. Musa Ali Kachako, member representing Takai constituency in the Kano State House of Assembly has moved a motion for construction of a road from Durbunde to Lafiya to Diribo to Karfi to Shauno in the area which was unanimously endorsed by the lawmakers.
Depending the motion before the legislators at the House Chamber, Hon. Kachako lamented that access road is the major problem bedevilling the constituency.
The lawmaker explained that since he commenced representing the people of Takai in the House in 2015, most of his motions were on road construction, noting that out of the 10 wards of the constituency, seven are located in remote areas.
He lamented that all the seven wards have no access roads, adding that the feeder roads done years back have been in bad shape, pointing out that people of the constituency are facing difficulties in their daily economic activities.
He disclosed that the roads were inserted in the 2020 budget, stressing that budgeting a project does not mean its execution.
Hon. Kachako said the motion is to be transmitted to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for the execution of the road which is just 25 kilometres.
Earlier, Speaker AbdulazeezGarbaGafasa who allowed the lawmaker to present the motion had directed the House Clerk, MalamAbdullahi Alfa Hausawa to transmit it to the executive arm for possible implementation.
Meanwhile, the House has adopted a motion calling on the state government to provide electricity to Marayar Jarmai, MarayarGudunruwa, Falali, Kakau, Gamaryawa and Fasawa in Gabasawa Constituency.
The motion was tabled by Hon. Salisu Dan’azumi Muhammad (Gabasawa).
