The Zamfara State chapter of Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has sworn in new executives to run its affairs for a period of one year.

The newly sworn in chairman of the council, who is also the state chairman of

Green Party of Nigeria (GPN), Alhaji Sani Yusuf Danmasani, assured the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of the parties’ readiness to conduct themselves in a free and fair manner during the conduct of the 2019 general elections in the state.

In his address, shortly after the swearing in ceremony, held at INEC

headquarters in Gusau, the IPAC new chairman urged members of political parties to shun politics of violence.

He warned politicians that they should avoid any thing that would bring disharmony, disunity and mistrust into the state and the country at large.

According to Danmasani, people should not take politics as a do or die

affair, adding that it should be a game of respect, love and understanding.

“I therefore advise my fellow colleagues to accept whatever Allah has destined to us,” he said.

He told members of IPAC in the state that with their support the sky would be his limit in uplifting their standard.

In his address, the chairman of the party’s electoral committee sent from its national

headquarters, Chief Sam Eke urged the members to play politics with decorum and respect each other’s feeling and love one another.

Chief Eke, who chaired and supervised the election and subsequent

sworn in the new officials, expressed satisfaction that maturity was exhibited during the conduct of the exercise, urging them to keep it up for the development of the party.
