I’ll not spare any officer found in corruption – Adamawa CP

Adamawa State Police Command has said that any officer found in corrupt practice, his command will not spare such, but take punitive measures according to the gravity of the offence such officer(s) committed.
The newly deployed Commissioner of Police to the state, Mr. Olugbenga Adeyanju, handed down the warning during a press briefing at the Command Headquarters, in Yola, the capital of the state.
He said that with the existing crime prevention and strategies, people in the state would witness changes on police service delivery.
Mr. Adeyanju said that any officer or men who may be found on any kind of corruption, no matter big or small, he would face the wrath of the law so as to serve as deterrent to others.
His words: “Under my watch, corruption, in all ramifications, on the part of our officers and men will not be tolerated and will be fought with all seriousness and that no infraction from any police officer will go unpunished, if it is brought to our attention.”
He noted that with the police existing Crime Prevention and Detention Strategies, “I am optimistic that good people of Adamawa State will witness improved police service delivery that will help to the reduction of crime wave in the state to appreciable level.”
Buttressing his words, he said, the police would collaborate with all stakeholders with the intention to ensure public safety and good orderliness in the state.
He revealed that his deployment to the state is solely to ensure the ultimate vision of the Nigeria Police Force to make Nigeria and the state a safer and more secured environment for everyone to live.
Until his deployment to the state, Mr. Adeyanju was Commissioner in-charge of Administration Force, CID Abuja.
He took over from the former C.P. Audu Adamu Madaki.
