House Leader, Sokoto State House of Assembly, Alhaji Bello Isa Ambarura has executed projects worth over N6million for his constituents since their inauguration in June, 2019.

Ambarura is a retired Permanent Secretary and former Commissioner representing Illela Constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He told newsmen in Sokoto that all the projects were successfully executed by him in his relentless bid to further uplift the living standard of his constituents.

He enumerated the projects to include the construction of open dug wells in Mashekarin Fulani, in Darna Tsolawo ward, at N250, 000, as well as in Mansalawa village, Gidan Hamma ward, at N300, 000.

Another water related project, he said, was the sinking of a borehole at Garu Rugga in Garu ward at N3million and the construction of a block of three pit latrines at Dabagin Tankari in Darna Tsolawo ward at N600, 000.

The lawmaker further disclosed that he has donated N100, 000 towards the construction of a Juma’at Mosque at Birnin Isa village, Darna Tsolawo ward.

“I have also been routinely contributing to social events like wedding and naming ceremonies, funerals and other related events,” he explained.

The lawmaker further stated that he has secured the recruitment of five unemployed youths into the military, 13 into the Nigeria Police, while he assisted several others to attend Aptitude Tests for recruitment into the Nigerian Customs Service and NDLEA, among others.

Ambarura also stated that plans have been concluded for the construction of open dug wells and boreholes in Kanta Wuri, Masasa Lakoda and Mashekarin Kalmalo villages.

According to him, the work which is expected to commence before the end of this month is aimed at further reducing the paucity of potable water to the people in the areas.

He said he also presented two motions which were approved by the House and are awaiting the consideration and implementation by the executive.

They are for the construction of a 25-km road from Illella water tank to Gudale to Tozai to Mansalawa to Gidan Hamma, as well as the 16km road from GidanBango to Tungar Alu to Takajabe to Ambarura.

He disclosed that he has convened a Town Hall Meeting, facilitated by the International Republican Institute where he collated the yearnings and aspirations of his constituents.

“The cardinal needs of the people as collated include water supply projects, clinics, roads and rehabilitation of schools, among others.

“I have since opened a Constituency Office in Illela town, and have employed three Legislative Aides to assist in running it,” Ambarura added.

The House Leader stated that he never regret representing his constituency on the platform of the APC, adding: “I will live and die in APC, because I totally agree and I am satisfied with its lofty ideals in Sokoto State and Nigeria in general.”
