Herders/farmers crisis: Bauchi CP assures adequate security

Bauchi State Commissioner of Police (CP), Alhaji Lawal Tanko Jimeta has visited Malunje and Jarkasa wards in Misau Local Government Area where a crisis erupted between Fulani herders and farmers that left more than nine persons dead.
A statement by the state Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Ahmad Muhammad Wakili, made available to the The Triumph in Bauchi contained this information.
The Police Commissioner sympathized with the residents of the area and assured them of their security.
CP Jimeta vowed that the perpetrators of the act would be apprehended, encouraging the natives of the area to be good neighbours and avoid taking laws into their hands as the police is always open for complaints and reports.
He enjoined the people of the state to cooperate with the police, asking the police mobile men drafted to the two wards to be professional and ensure peace and normalcy return there.
