Kano State branch of the Nigerian Union of Herbal Practitioners (NUPH) has called on the state government to provide a department for them at each of the various hospitals across the state.
The state chairman of the union, Alhaji Sharu Dan Wali made the appeal at a meeting they held in the state capital recently.
He said the need for establishing the department became necessary in view of the burning desire to assist doctors and ease congestion in such hospitals so as for the herbal practitioners to contribute their quota towards enhancing the health sector in the state.
Alhaji Dan Wali noted that congestion of patients in hospitals is beyond doctors’ control, stressing that those herbal practitioners could play a role in this direction.
Other members who spoke at the event were Abubakar Maifatawa Da Magani and Alhaji Sani Muhammad Sarkin Magani Mai Shinfida respectively.
