The Chairman of Yobe State All Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) and Chairman of Gujba local government of the state, Alhaji Kyari Batarama has called on people of the local government to always assist security agents with information on suspicious movements in the area.

He made the call while on a visit to Katarko village to sympathize with the people over the recent attack by unknown gunmen suspected to by Boko Haram insurgents there.

Batarama who commended the Army and local vigilantes in the area for their efforts, said people should always support security personnel with useful information on the where-about of criminals in the area.

He said the people of Katarko and environs should remain calm as government and security agencies are doing their best to restore peace and normalcy in the local government.

The Chairman also called on people of the local government and the state as a whole not to relent in their prayer for peace and harmony to reign in the state.

He also urged the military and other security operatives to use their knowledge and sophistication to detect improvised explosive devices on busy routes linking villages and farmlands in the area.
