The Emir of Gumel in JIgawa State, Alhaji Ahmad Muhammad Sani has commended the state government under the leadership of Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar on the provision of social amenities to the people of Gumel Emirate.
The Emir was speaking when he received the governor at his palace during the just conduced this year’s edition of Sallar Gani, a traditional durbar, held in the Emirate recently.
Alhaji Sani said the present administration in the state has executed meaningful development projects in the Emirate to include the provision of portable drinking water, saying that the on-going rehabilitation of roads at the Jigawa State College of Education, Gumel was another development project aimed at uplifting the standard of education in the area.
He also advised the people of the Emirate to shun any violence before, during and after the next year’s general elections in the country.
The Emir also urged parents to ensure that their children have been attending both Islamiyya and Western schools in the area for them to be good leaders of tomorrow.
Alhaji Sani also commended the present administration for its keen interest on the development of youths in the state.
The Emir also called on religious leaders to intensify effort on prayers permanent peace to reign in the state and the country in general.
