Good plan leads to success, says Tsanyawa

Strategic planning has been described as an essential component of any individual or group aspiring to succeed.
Kano State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, made the observation during a workshop on the ‘Review and Development of Malaria Operational Plan’ held recently in Kaduna State.
A statement issued by the spokesperson of the ministry, Hadiza Mustapha Namadi, said during the meeting, Dr. Tsanyawa highlighted that about 25 per cent of global mobility and mortality are due to malaria.
He stressed the need for all stakeholders to dedicate their time and energy to ensure that they come up with a very robust and workable document that could guide the fight against malaria for the next 18 months.
The commissioner urged them to be more consistent with Annual Operation Plan (AOP) review and development.
He thanked the Malaria Consortium for their support in organizing the review programme, noting that: “We are all living witness of the transformation that health sector has undergone under the leadership of the health-friendly governor of the state, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, over the last four years which significantly improved the overall health status of the people of Kano State.”
