From Sani Gazas Chinade, Damaturu
Youths have been charged to shun drug abuse and other social vices.
The Commissioner of Information and Home Affairs, Alhaji Mala Musty stated this when he received APC Students Network who paid him a courtesy call in his office in Damaturu.
Musty maintained that drug abuse and other social vices will never help them in any way rather than to destroy their future.
He called on them to always engage in doing something positively as they are the leaders of tomorrow.
The commissioner equally described them as the bedrock of any meaningful development hence, the need for youths to always be at the fore front in championing the cause of peace and progress.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Comrade Adamu Usman Baba had said they were in his office to solicit his support towards achieving the goals of the Network in educating the youths to engage in active politics for the progress of the state.
He said the APC Students Network is a platform that cuts across the 17 local governments of the state.
Comrade Usman commended the effort of the state government in the award of scholarship to Yobe state indigenes studying in various higher institutions across Nigeria and abroad.
