Gezawa Local Government branch of Yoruba Community in Kano State has elected new Sarkin Yoruba.

The Sarkin Yoruba was elected during an election held recently in the area. 

During the election, Alhaji Zakari Ahmad has scores 15 votes, S. Abbas one votes and Abdulganiyu, a mechanical engineer got four votes.

The new Sarkin Yoruba had expressed happiness for his victory which he said was the will of God.

He then urged the Yoruba people in Gezawa to come together and promote the good image of their land in the state.

 

Alhaji Ahmad also thanked the District Head of Gezawa, Mai Unguwar Mundubawa, Alhaji Mahamud Yusufu for his keen interest in the development of the area.

He reiterated that his community stands to work hand to hand with the people in the area in order to uplift the good image of the community in the area.

In a related development, the chairman of Yoruba Community in the area, Mr. Babatunde Dada has called on the new Sarkin Yoruba to discharge his duties according to the rules and regulations governing the community.
