The governor made the assurance during the formal grand rally to welcome defectors loyal to former Kano State Governor and Kano Central Senatorial aspirant of the APC, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and some of the Kwankwasiyya Movement members to the All Progressives Congress, APC, which held at Sani Abacha Stadium, recently.

The governor said that the people of the state would put as top priority the promised five million votes to President Muhammadu Buhari considering his good efforts in taking the country to the next level.

In his speech, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole said, “today is the day in which all the progressives in Kano state have re-united to reinforce and regain the power of APC in the state.”

He also said that “at the moment people of the same progressive political ideologies are folding back into the APC while thieves and corrupt ones are grouping into PDP,” adding that the most important thing the people of this county need from a leader is to have a man of integrity, honour and one they can trust, saying that, that man is President Muhammadu Buhari.

“Today, the APC is moving on the length of “Next Level;” never again would this country be governed by opportunists who have in the last 16 years wasted the nation’s treasury, and the only way they would be permanently locked behind doors is by coming together for the good of Nigeria,” Oshiomhole added.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Sardauna of Kano and APC Kano Central Senatorial candidate said that “today, is indeed, a great day in the history of our lives and this history is repeating itself as in 2014 when we had reason to step aside, but today we have greater reasons to stage a huge come-back to our fold.”

He assured of the total commitment and determination of himself and his supporters to the APC and guaranteed that the APC would get a total victory in all of its elections.

Speaking, Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State accused the opposition of putting Nigeria in terrible economic woes by looting its treasury in the 16 years of their administration.

He said before the coming of President Muhammadu Buhari Nigeria was only producing 3, 500mw of electricity but now it is producing 7, 000mw for the betterment and boosting of the economy and well-being of its people.

In a related development, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State has boasted that the state will garner the highest vote ever in the history of the nation come 2019 elections.

Dr. Ganduje stated this at a grand rally to welcome decampees from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Kwankwasiyya Group, held at Sani Abacha stadium recently.

He said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state has the largest number of supporters in the country, adding that the five million votes he promised President Muhammadu Buhari would be actualised.

The governor also stated that APC was the strongest party, not only in the nation, but in the whole Africa.

According to him, APC had a strong support base that no party in Africa can flex with it in terms of supporters, noting that the party would show the world how powerful it is in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.

He also boasted that APC is the only party in the state because it has the largest supporters in the most populous state, stating that: “Our hope is not only to win elective positions, but to deliver the highest vote for President Muhammadu Buhari.”

“Our party is the strongest, not only in Nigeria, but in Africa as a whole. In Kano also, there is no party but APC because we have the largest number of supporters.

“In Kano, APC is united. Even after the primary elections, we remain united. We are sure about 90 per cent of our senators, 80 per cent of our members of House of Representatives and 95 per cent of members of our State Assembly, will return to their seats in 2019 elections,” he said.

Speaking also, the National Chairman of APC, Mr. Adams Oshiomole, said only corrupt politicians that oppose Buhari’s administration.

He added that majority of Nigerians understand and support the leadership style of President Buhari, adding that the party remains hopeful that the president would win the next election in order to complete the works he had started.
