Ganduje Commiserates With Families of Prof. Balarabe Maikaba, Aminu Yahaya

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State has commiserated with the families of late Professor Balarabe Maikaba, a professor of Mass Communication from the Faculty of Communications, Bayero University, Kano and that of late Malam Aminu Yahaya, former Commissioner of Education in the state.
Ganduje said: “The death of Professor Balarabe Maikaba came to us as very shocking and it is indeed a great lost not only to his family, but to the state, Bayero University, Kano, and the country in general.”
“Professor Maikaba’s death leaves a great vacuum in the academic circle. He was a great pillar in the Faculty of Communication, Bayero University, Kano. He was a compendium of media studies and research.”
The late Malam Yahaya, according to the governor, was a rare gem whose life was exemplary and a flagship of discipline, commitment and patriotism to many, adding that the state will not forget people like Malam Aminu Yahaya, whose life was spent in the service for humanity.
He added: “It is therefore with deep sorrow that I am, on behalf of the government and people of Kano state, sending condolence message to the families, friends, Bayero University, Kano and the general public commiserating the shocking death of these gentlemen of repute and sound track record.
“Kano state and the country will miss these rare gems. Whose life was people-centred, commendable, and spent for state and nation building. May Allah bless their souls and give their families the fortitude to bear the loss.”
