For someone to make a difference among numerous others, he or she must have, at the back of his or her mind, the spirit of working for the greatest interest of the people around him or her. With this therefore, such individuals are on the right pedestal to write their names in gold for history to continue to remember them.

By so doing also, they are carving a niche for themselves and that many right thinking persons will desire to borrow a leaf from them so that they too will make an indelible mark that will continue to linger in the minds of many.

Most often than not, such personalities receive honours from certain bodies, including governments at various levels for value addition and some of them are being posthumously remembered for immortalization because of their tremendous contributions to societal development in their various fields of services to humanity, which speak volumes.

Many citizens could come to mind here as they are qualified to suit in the purpose of this piece.

Aptly bringing to the fore the Managing Director of Kano State Water Board, Engr. Garba Ahmad Kofar Wambai to join the rest of others who mean well to the society is by no small measure another great service to bequeath information that will enrich record keeping purposes.

It is worthy of mention that before his appointment as the chief executive of the board, Engr. Kofar Wambai strove hard to make sacrifices to be his watch words. He extended hands of fellowship to many during the period before his current position and maintains the tempo when he took over it, to which as of now many feel pleased to associate with him as his stewardship reposes great confidence in them in terms of doing the needful to impact positively on their living condition.

Those who get close to him always attest to good accommodation and reception, and one thing that will never escape from their memories, is that he is always ready to lend a helping hand or give ear to the cause that brought them to him eye to eye.

Supporting people who ever come to his way is indeed one of his distinctive qualities. Engr. Kofar Wambai’s fellowship extends to sponsorship of hundreds of people for free eye treatment and provision of free medical glasses to them across the state. Apart from this, the water board boss went extra mile to put smile on the faces of others as he empowered hundreds of youths and women who acquired various skills via his foundation.

As it has always been, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of the state exercises great care in sourcing professionals to be appointed into positions. Choosing Engr. Kofar Wambai to be at the helm of affairs of the board is by no small means a right decision at the right time.

Calling a spade a spade is just stating the obvious and to say that the appointment of Engr. Kofar Wambai is a good omen not only to those at the board, but to many others outside it is apt, is not an exaggeration, but the truth. He is a good leader at the board.

Borrowing a leaf, he extends his hands of assistance to many, and equally, he becomes their servant; importantly just like what Governor Ganduje, Khadimul Islam is doing in assisting the people of the state through various empowerment programmes that help in reducing or eradicating poverty among the teeming youths and women across the 44 local government areas statewide.

He was able to maintain contacts with grassroots politicians along side party leaders, thus collaborating with them to achieve a lot or empower many just to make them self-sustained. The beneficiaries cut across the 484 wards of the 44 local government areas of the state.

Governor Ganduje of the state really deserves commendations regarding the appointment of Engr. Kofar Wambai into the board. In fact, and believably, this appointment is among the best under the Ganduje administration. It did not come by surprise following Kofar Wambai’s leadership quality, hard work, dedication and above all his truthfulness.

While praying for more grease to his elbow, we pray Allah to continue to protect, guide and lift him up in all his endeavours. The sky will be his limit.
