D/Kudu palliative c’ttee members told to be fair

Members of COVID-19 Palliative Package Committee in Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area of Kano State have been urged to be fair and just in discharging their responsibilities.


Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje made the plea through the Executive Secretary of the state Relief and Rehabilitation Agency, Comrade Sale Aliyu Jili at the distribution of second batch of relief packages introduced by the state government to cushion the effect of the COVID-19 lockdown.

The governor advised village and ward heads in the area to discharge their duties in accordance with their terms of reference in order to justify the confidence reposed in them.

On his part, the chairman of the council, Alhaji Nasiru Ibrahim Matage expressed appreciation on the gesture, commending members of the committee and security agents for their effort toward achieving the set goals.

Also speaking, the District Head of Dawakin Kudu, Alhaji Jafaru Usman Muhammad, the Falakin Gaya, represented by his representative, Alhaji Abubakar Usman Muhammad, thanked Governor Ganduje for the gesture.

Items donated at the event included bags of millet, rice, maize and groundnut oil, in addition to giving N2, 000 to each of the beneficiaries.

They were sensitized on their personal hygienic, according to a statement issued to The Triumph by the Information Officer of the area, Malam Abubakar Ibrahim Sharada.
