Covid-19: Yobe urges commercial operators on protocol

Yobe State Committee on Prevention and Control of COVID -19 under the chairmanship of the state deputy governor, Hon. Idi Barde Gubana has urged all commercial vehicles and motorcycle operators to maintain physical distancing in their vehicles across the state.
The deputy governor, who disclosed this during the meeting the committee to review the existing protocols and preventive measures to curtail the spread of the disease in the state, added that: “All passenger in the state must wear face masks, observe proper respiratory etiquette and hand hygiene.”
According to him, government also reminds citizens that COVID-19 is still within the community, adding that increasing number of cases are recorded.
“It is still as deadly as ever, as such all should ensure to adhere to the following prevention and control measures,” he advised.
He assured that the security agencies should continue to imposing of law on the Federal Government resolution of curfew period from 10:00pm to 4:00am as well as social and physical distancing, wearing of facemask and self hygiene in public places.
