COVID-19: Yobe opens borders

Yobe State Committee for the Prevention of COVID-19 has opened all borders surrounding the state in adherence to the Federal Government resolutions.
Deputy Governor and Chairman Yobe State Committee for the Prevention of COVID-19, Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana, revealed this to newsmen in Damaturu on Wednesday after the meeting.
He cautioned travellers to strictly comply with the already enjoined prevention and control measures in respect to the pandemic.
”In line with the Federal Government resolution of opening schools for students in final year and preparing for final exams, all schools will reopen for JSS3, SS3 and primary six students preparing for common entrance examinations,” he noted.
Gubana added that proper prevention and control measures against must be observed. “All commercial vehicles and motorcycle operators should continue to maintain physical distancing in their vehicles, and all passengers must wear face mask, observe proper respiratory etiquette and hand hygiene.”
