COVID-19: Potiskum advises residents not to panic

Director Personnel Management (DPM) and Overseer of Potiskum Local Government Area of Yobe State, Ibrahim Yayangida Abubakar has advised residents of the town to stop panicking over the suspected case of COVID-19 reported at the General Hospital Potiskum and turned out to be negative.
The DPM spoke to newsmen in Potiskum, saying: ”I am appealing to the people to settle down and stop fleeing the town; the COVID-19 Prevention Committee led by the State Deputy Governor, Idi Barde Gubana has collected the sample, taken to Abuja and screened the results of which showed negative as the admitted patient is never suffering from the dreaded Corona virus.”
He appealed to all to abide by the laid-down prevention measures and steps for safety, urging them to continue with their legitimate
The Overseer of the Council assured on the protection of lives and properties of the citizens, adding: “We are always proactive on issues affecting our people.”
