A member representing Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos has expressed worries over some persons who ordinarily should have quarantined themselves because they came back from high risk covid-19 places, but are already mingling with other people in the state.
He stressed the need to place such persons under close watch and examination until they are medically sound on the virus, before allowing them to mingle with other innocent persons.
He was speaking recently while distributing hand sanitizers to people who could not afford it.
Hon. Bagos commended the restriction on movements deployed by the Federal Government to prevent wide spread of the scourge, saying that the action was long overdue.

He observed that the Federal Government could had placed travel ban when a case was confirmed to avoid spread of the disease, saying that the country was recording cases lately on account of contact with carriers which could had been avoided long ago.
The lawmaker called for holistic contact tracing in order to get people who may had contracted the virus and have not submitted themselves for isolation and testing but spreading it to innocent persons.
He called on the Federal Government, through the National Centre for Disease Control, to establish more testing centres, especially in the state to attend to suspected cases more efficiently and swiftly.
