Covid-19: Gombe, Nasarawa repatriate 80 Almajirai

Fika Local Gvernment Area of Yobe State has received a delivery of 80 Almajirai repatriated from Gombe and Nasarawa States.

The Almajirai, who were returned to their states of origin following growing fear of the Covid-19 pandemic were received at the headquarters of the council.

The Director of Personal Management of the area, Alhaji Iliyasu Ahmed Maluri said the 80 Almajirai would be quarantined for the mandatory 14 days at Damaturu before they are sent back to the local area.

Maluri further said the Almajirai would be screened before handing them over to their respective District Heads and later on handing over them to their parents.

On Coronavirus pandemic, the DPM said the local area invited all the traditional rulers and informed them that they should go back to their domains and draw the attention of their District Heads to inform the people of the danger of the virus.
