COVID-19: Fidelity Bank donates N5m to Kebbi state govt

Fidelity Bank PLC has donation the sum of N5million to support the Kebbi state Government as its contribution in the fight to contain the spread of Covid -19 pandemic in the state.
The sum will be used to purchase provision to be distributed to vulnerable persons in the state as palliatives.
According to a statement made by the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor Yahaya Sarki, the cheque was presented to the Chief of Staff Government House, Alhaji Suleiman Muhammad Argungu by the regional manager of the Bank, Mallam Salihu Jibrin.
Jibrin assured the state government that the bank would be an active partner in the fight against the dreaded coronvirus disease by providing more possible assistance.
He said: ” Although the donation of five million naira by the bank could be described as a token, it would aid ongoing efforts by the state government in containing the covid-19 scourge.”
In his remarks, on behalf of Governor Atiku Bagudu , Argungu thanked Fidelity Bank for the invaluable gesture.
He said all donations received from various sources were handed over to the state Task Force on covid-19, for proper management.
He commended Chairman of the Task Force on Covid -19, who also doubles as Commissioner for Health, Jafar Muhammed and his team for doing a marvelous job in curbing the spread of the disease, as well as providing treatment to persons who have tested positive for the disease.
