COVID-19: Doma LG shuts markets, social gathering

The Authorities of Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State have taken bold steps towards curbing the effect of coronavirus pandemic in the locality.
The decision came up shortly after a security meeting with some selected stakeholders in order to observe social distance.
Speaking, the council chairman, Hon. Rabu Sani directed a total closure of Laraba Market and other neighboring markets, saying: “This step is geared towards protecting our people from being infected with this deadly disease.
“Let me also warn that nobody should be allowed to move around Doma town once it is after 8:00pm as already directed by our Governor Abdullahi Sule in his quest to safeguard people of the state.”
The chairman called the attention of NURTW, Doma branch to ensure the use of thermometer in testing all people coming into the area and anybody found with the symptoms of COVID-19 should be isolated.
