Katsina State has so far recorded 40 cases of COVID-19 out of which six persons have tested negative and discharged from isolation centre.

The state Commissioner of Health, Engr. Yakubu Nuhu Danja reveled this to newsmen after an emergency state Executive Council meeting.
Danja said the state has recorded nine new cases as at Wednesday.
He said two cases were from Daura, two Katsina, Batagarawa has one, Musawa has one, while Matazu has one case.
Danja revealed that the six old cases of COVID-19 from Daura have tested negative twice.
Meanwhile, Governor Aminu Bello Masari has ordered for the lockdown of Kankia and Musawa Local Government Areas following the confirmation of COVID-19 disease there.
In a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mustapha Inuwa said the lockdown order is expected by 7:00am today.
Our correspondent learnt that so far nine local government areas are lockdown in the state for recorded cases of Coronavirus.
The affected areas include Katsina, Batagarawa, Daura, Mani, Safana, Musawa, Kankia, Jibia and Dutsinma.
