Mothers have been urged to be extra vigilant on their children as well as themselves as part of mapping out strategies toward containing the spread of the dreaded COVID-19 in Kano State.
The State Commissioner for Woman Affairs, Dr. Zahra’u Muhammad Umar who made the plea in her office, maintained that the call became necessary in order to sensitise mothers with a view to preventing them from possible contracting of the pandemic.
She also urged the good people of the state to comply with the government directives to stay at home for their own safety.
The Commissioner also emphasised the need for effective sanitation and cleanliness as well as prayers by the general public, as said by BahijjaMalamKabara, Public Relations Officer of the ministry in a press statement issued to The Triumph.
