Commissioner of Education Kano State, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru has appealed to wealthy individuals and communities to inculcate the habit of executing development projects in their domains.
Citizens urged to participate in community development
He made the appeal while commissioning six renovated and seven newly-constructed toilet facilities by an individual, A.A Ibrahim & Co Ltd at Goron Dutse Special Primary School, Dala Local Government Area.
While commending Ibrahim for executing the project single-handedly, he described the project as a rewarding venture worth emulating by all and sundry.
Malam Sanusi Kiru called on the beneficiaries of the facilities to use them judiciously with a view to achieving its purpose.
He then directed the ministry to write a letter of commendation to Ibrahim in appreciation of the kind gesture, promising to intimate the state governor about the development.
Earlier, the Education Secretary of the local government, Malam Abubakar Muhammad Hiddir had expressed gratitude to the commissioner for sparing his time to commission the project.
The education secretary then commended A.A Ibrahim for committing his resources in the development of education.
Also speaking, the SBMC Chairman of the School, Alhaji Shitu Ibrahim expressed happiness for having such an important project being executed by a single individual, said Aliyu Yusuf, the Chief Public Relations Officer of the Ministry.
